Upcoming Lifeguarding Trainings

Pre-requisites

  • 300 Swim - 100 font crawl with rotary breathing, 100 breaststroke, 100 mix of either front crawl or breaststroke.
  • Swim 20 yards, retrieve a brick from deep water and swim back 20 yards to start in under 1:40

  • 3 year certification in Lifeguarding and First Aid
  • 1 Year certification in CPR/AED
  • Pocket mask

Upcoming Water Safety Instructor Trainings

 Pre-requisites

  • Front Crawl - 25 Yards
  • Back Crawl - 25 Yards
  • Breaststroke - 25 Yards
  • Elementary Backstroke - 25 Yards
  • Sidestroke - 25 Yards
  • Butterfly - 15 Yards
  • Maintain position on back for 1 minute in deep water (floating or sculling)
  • Tread water for 1 minute

  • 2 year authorization to teach Water Safety classes as described within the course. (Must meet and be authorized by home Red Cross Chapter)
